Care For Veterans: Celebrating 100 Years of Care

Care for Veterans, formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, is a 60-bed facility based in Worthing, and provides residential nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and end of life care. It was established shortly after World War I to care for those returning from service with life-changing injuries. Since then, the charity has continued to care for physically disabled ex-Service personnel and their families. This exhibition details the charity’s history, including its conception in Roehampton in 1919, the move to Worthing in 1934, and its change of name in 2017. The exhibition also features some historic photos, which were found in the attic at Care for Veterans a few years ago.
